Beer or sake is poured into cups. If your host holds the beer out to you, you must pick up your cup and take a drink out of it, then allow him to refill it. Then you must do the same for him. You both pretend to be drunker than you are so you can say what you like, and it's okay. Incidently, Otosan and I watched a lot of baseball on that couch.
